Phone check-in

Check-in that only works at work.

Stafrix is a GPS attendance app: employees swipe to check in on their own phone, and it only works inside the radius around your workplace. The time comes from Stafrix’s server, not the phone, and the location is read only at that moment, never in the background.

7 days free. No card, no hardware to buy.

How does phone check-in work?

It takes four steps to set up, and a swipe a day after that.

  • Set your workplace
Pin it on the map and choose a radius of 50, 100, 150, 300 or 500 metres.
  • Invite your team
Each employee gets a link and signs in, in the Stafrix Android app or the browser on any phone.
  • They swipe at work
Inside the radius the swipe appears; outside it, it doesn’t.
  • It counts itself
Late marks, grace time, overtime and leave are applied, and the day flows into payroll.

What is recorded with each check-in?

The server time, confirmation that the phone was inside your radius, how the punch was made (phone, fingerprint on the phone, or entered by a manager), and a selfie if you ask for one. The selfie stays private to your admins and never gets a public link.

What if someone forgets to check out?

Stafrix closes the day at the end of their shift and flags it for review, so one forgotten swipe never becomes a twelve-hour day. Employees also get reminders to check in, and to check out after the shift.

Does it track employees all day?

No. The location is read only at the moment someone swipes to check in or out, to confirm they are inside the radius. Nothing is read in the background, and employees see their own days exactly as they’ll count on the payslip.

Phone check-in comes with every plan. A selfie with every check-in, and fingerprint or face check-in on the employee’s own phone, come with Business.

Common questions.

Do we need to buy a biometric machine?

No. Your team checks in from their own phones, so there is no hardware to buy or install. The phone’s own fingerprint or face unlock can be required instead of a machine.

Does it work on iPhones?

Yes. Employees with an iPhone check in from the browser; Android phones can use the Stafrix app from Google Play or the browser.

What radius should I choose?

100 or 150 metres suits most single buildings. Choose a larger radius, up to 500 metres, for a big site or a building where phones find their location less precisely indoors.

Start with this month.

Set up in an afternoon. Your team checks in tomorrow morning, and Stafrix starts looking.
